Stories From Our Community

When I found myself homeless with my dog in 2022 because of abuse by my ex fiancé, I was terrified I wouldn't be able to keep my best friend safe. Because of community support from Arlington Pet Food Pantry, I have received unwavering support for my dog. From monthly pickups of food to licensing in the city I now live in. I spent 16 months homeless, living in my vehicle despite having severe medical issues, a recent hysterectomy just 10 days before becoming homeless, as well as domestic abuse. It is very difficult to get myself back into safe and stable housing. But with help from LeeAnna, I haven't had to worry about how I will feed my best friend and support animal.

Leeanna at the Arlington Pet Food Pantry is one heck of a huge help to PNE! We get calls almost every week from her that she has some supplies she thinks we can use — lots of food which of course we are desperate for. We need it for our northern foster families and southern as well!! If you live near the Pantry, please stop by with some food or dog beds or collars. Thanks LeeAnna! You're the bomb.

Big shout out to LeeAnna at the Arlington Pet Food Pantry who donated a bunch of desperately needed food that we were able to send down to our communities in Tennessee & Mississippi who are overwhelmed with stray dogs and cats. So helpful and so appreciated!

I am a volunteer at People Helping People. I distribute pet food there. I just want to thank you so much for your generous donations you have been providing to us. We rely on donations in order to provide pet food to our clients, and I see first hand how impactful these donations are for them. Their pets provide wonderful companionship and love, and as such they are an important part of our communities. When we are addressing food insecurity, it's important to acknowledge the hardship many face trying to feed their furry family members. Your work is such a great help to the multiple communities that you are able to donate food to.

Amazing people doing amazing work! Things are hard enough and no one should have to give a beloved pet up because funds are tight! I've donated before.

I have donated medical supplies and litter to this organization. I had the best experience watching not only my donations but others in the community go to giving pets the best health outcomes. I highly recommend this organization.

I live in a senior low income building in Arlington. A tenant told me recently that to pay for their beloved cat's food they had to do without for themselves. My heart broke. I contacted the Pet Food Pantry and was given food to pass on to our pet owners. Thank you so much LeeAnna for what you do. I pass their gratitude on to you.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Arlington Pet Food Pantry in Massachusetts for their incredibly generous donation of pet food and supplies. Our rescue partner was able to pick up the donation during a recent visit to New England to see family and bring it back to the rescue. We are incredibly grateful for the support and generosity of Arlington Pet Food Pantry. Donations like these help us continue providing care for the animals in our rescue and allow us to direct more of our resources toward veterinary care, transportation, and other essential needs. Thank you, Arlington Pet Food Pantry, for helping us make a difference in the lives of animals in need. We were so excited for this generous donation that our volunteer helping load the vehicle forgot to take a picture!
